OTR Retread cushion gum apply

Retreading of buffed OTR carcass for direct smearing of cushion gum onto the carcass, automatic skife filling and shoulder built-up.

The Base Constructor is a giant version of the well known cushion to casing extrusion system for OTR tires. Following process steps are fulfilled by the Base Constructor:
  • Extruders supplying plasticized rubber to an extrusion head

  • Pressure controlled process

  • Cushion gum smearing process like butter to bread!

  • Skives in carcass are filled automatically

  • Cushion gum smearing during one rotation

  • Shoulder build up
Special tire rims for each size are part of the machine supply. When finishing the cushion gum smearing process the tire can be moved to the strip builder for tread build-up using the same rim.

Our Base Constructor significantly optimizes the cushion gum apply process for OTR tires and saves cost.
